Ideal for your first appointment:

• If you recently had COVID or a COVID vaccine and you’re not recovering (for example, continued breathlessness, fatigue)
• If you have (or think you have) long COVID or vaccine injury and you’re so overwhelmed with information that you don’t know where to start
• If you have (or think you have) long COVID or vaccine injury and you’ve been completely left in the dark and you have no idea what is wrong

Price: £75 plus an extra £25 if you want a report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful). I will ask at your appointment if you would like a report, and this will be invoiced separately so you do not need to decide now. 

If you require test result interpretation or have ideas you’d like to discuss, it’s helpful if you can send these at least 2 days before we meet 

Ideal for follow-up appointments:

• If you have some quick questions
• If you need help interpreting test results
• If you’d like follow-up information from a previous consult

Price: £50 plus an extra £25 if you want a report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful). I will ask at your appointment if you would like a report, and this will be invoiced separately so you do not need to decide now.

After appointments, you may have follow-up questions. I am happy to answer these by email within reason. If there are multiple queries or things that will take significant time to answer, I will suggest we have a 30 minute appointment for follow-up, or charge for the equivalent time (£50 for 30 minutes, £75 for 60 minutes). 

Each appointment will be unique, but to give an idea of the type of information that may be required in case you want to prepare, I might ask you about the following:

• Trigger to illness (e.g. COVID-19)
• Symptoms (e.g. severity, when they started, if there's a trigger or pattern)
• Tests (e.g. what tests have been done, when, what the results were)
• Diagnoses you have received
• Treatments you have tried, when you tried them, for how long, and if they helped
• What you hope this service can help with

Some clients are requesting letters/reports outwith the above appointment + report "bundle". 

If you need a letter written, please email me outlining the purpose and aims. The cost of letters/reports will vary depending on the depth and time required and we can discuss what is a fair price when you get in touch. As a rough guide:

• A short letter (usually 1-3pages) concisely summarising a particular issue: £50
• A longer letter (usually 3-10 pages) providing more detail about one or more issue/s: £75
• A highly detailed report requiring substantive research time and/or being notably long (> 10 pages): £75 per hour 

These prices are flexible and will vary depending on what is required. We can discuss a fair price before we agree to anything so you won't be charged for anything you have not approved. Edits are generally free of charge, but this may depend on how extensive the edits you require are (again, we can discuss this so it is fair). 

Some examples of what people ask for:

• A brief summary of key tests that may be useful
• Information on one particular illness
• An advocacy letter (e.g. explaining the specific needs of a patient whilst in hospital)
• A summary of evidence about a particular topic

Of course, this is highly personalised, so please let me know your needs and we can discuss if I can help or not.

Ideal for a group of people who have similar problems or questions that you want to discussed together.

Price: £20 per person or £25 per person with a group report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful).

Ideal if you have done lots of tests and yet you have no answers.

This service might include: 

• A deep dive into the literature to understand what avenues might be most fruitful to explore with your medical team
• Finding, reading, and/or interpreting research papers for you
• Helping you test ideas systematically so you get the most valid answers (this is not an endorsement of the products/ideas you want to test)

However, this is a flexible service designed to meet your needs, so if you have ideas, please let me know how I can help. 

Typically involves an initial consultation (1 hour) during which we will discuss your case and decide if this is something I might be able to help with. If we go ahead, we will discuss and agree reasonable expectations on how many hours I’ll likely work on your case. 

Price: £85 per hour

Depending on how you want to use this service, this hourly price includes:

• An initial meeting (no extra cost)
• A wrap up meeting (no extra cost)
• A final report with the relevant research cited and recommendations (e.g. for tests to do or diagnoses to explore)
• An expected higher level of contact through emails

If we need to have an interim meeting, this will be charged at standard rate (£50 for 30 minutes / £75 for 60 minutes). Interim emails will be included within our agreed time allocation.
