Long Covid Scientific Consultancy is here to support you. Services include:
If you have a different request in mind, please do get in touch to discuss whether I can help.

Ideal for your first appointment:
Price: £75 plus an extra £25 if you want a report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful). I will ask at your appointment if you would like a report, and this will be invoiced separately so you do not need to decide now.
If you require test result interpretation or have ideas you’d like to discuss, it’s helpful if you can send these at least 2 days before we meet

Ideal for follow-up appointments:
Price: £50 plus an extra £25 if you want a report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful). I will ask at your appointment if you would like a report, and this will be invoiced separately so you do not need to decide now.
If you require test result interpretation or have ideas you’d like to discuss, it’s helpful if you can send these at least 2 days before we meet
Each appointment will be unique, but to give an idea of the type of information that may be required in case you want to prepare, I might ask you about the following:
If you specifically want help with interpreting test results, please send these in advance by email: harriet@lc-sc.co.uk
Email policy:
After appointments, you may have follow-up questions. I am happy to answer these by email within reason. If there are multiple queries or things that will take significant time to answer, I may suggest we have a 30 minute appointment for follow-up, or charge for the equivalent time (£50 for 30 minutes, £75 for 60 minutes). Any costs will be discussed and agreed up front, so please do not be worried that you will be hit with an unexpected invoice!

Some clients are requesting letters/reports outwith the above appointment + report "bundle".
If you need a letter written, please email me outlining the purpose and aims. The cost of letters/reports will vary depending on the depth and time required and we can discuss what is a fair price when you get in touch. As a rough guide:
These prices are flexible and will vary depending on what is required. We can discuss a fair price before we agree to anything so you won't be charged for anything you have not approved. Edits are generally free of charge, but this may depend on how extensive the edits you require are (again, we can discuss this so it is fair).
Some examples of what people ask for:
Of course, this is highly personalised, so please let me know your needs and we can discuss if I can help or not.

Sometimes you need to speak to someone fast.
If you need an urgent appointment, please email me with "URGENT" in the email subject heading (you can do this by clicking the link below) and I will do my best to speak to you as soon as possible.
Ideal for a group of people who have similar problems or questions that you want to discussed together.
Price: £20 per person or £25 per person with a group report (see below for what a report is and why it might be useful).

However, this is a flexible service designed to meet your needs, so if you have ideas, please let me know how I can help.
Typically involves an initial consultation (1 hour) during which we will discuss your case and decide if this is something I might be able to help with. If we go ahead, we will discuss and agree reasonable expectations on how many hours I’ll likely work on your case.
Price: £85 per hour
Depending on how you want to use this service, this hourly price includes:
If we need to have an interim meeting, this will be charged at standard rate (£50 for 30 minutes / £75 for 60 minutes). Interim emails will be included within our agreed time allocation.
This is a highly tailored service with limited availability.
Please email me to enquire about this service.
I often find requests for this service can be served with one or two appointments, and we can discuss what would be most appropriate for your circumstance.
Long Covid Scientific Consultancy aims to help you in whatever way possible, within my remit. As best as possible, information I provide is an impartial take on the evidence so far, and I will always try to express how strong evidence is when we speak, and cite my sources in reports. I have extensive research experience including a Masters of Research (MRes) degree and PhD, ample contacts in the medical field specialising in diseases common in long COVID, and am obviously a patient so benefits from the vast wealth of knowledge the wider community shares.
I deal with many clients with different needs and preferences, such as those who prefer non-pharmacological options or those who want to press on through more conventional medical systems, those with various dietary requirements to consider (due to medical and non-medical reasons), or those with other preferences (e.g. medications they do or do not want to try). I will always try to tailor information to suit your needs and preferences, with no judgement; you do not need to explain yourself to me!
Support will vary depending on your needs, but it may look like:
I do not endorse a particular protocol, nor do I claim to have all the answers. I am not a medical doctor, I cannot diagnose, I cannot prescribe nor recommend treatments, and the information provided from this service should not be construed as, nor viewed as a substitute for, medical advice. This service is about giving you tailored information to help you make informed decisions. You can read more here about what I can and cannot do.

A report aims to summarise our discussion, and when requested with a 30 or 60 minute appointment, cost an extra £25. For reports/letters written without an appointment, the cost is variable depending on the time required (see above). Depending on what we discuss and any requirements you have, this might include:
This can be helpful so we can engage in discussion and you do not need to worry about note taking, which can be particularly useful if you have cognitive problems, like brain fog. I might also add in extra thoughts that come to mind whilst preparing the report.
Although the report is for you, you may wish to take it to your doctor or medical team, or have another purpose in mind. I cannot guarantee they will do anything with it but it might give them some direction regarding what tests might be useful to rule in or out possible diagnoses. As you may have a particular purpose in mind for your report, please let me know if there is specific information you want included. I am happy to tailor these to suit your needs, providing I believe they are an accurate representation of your situation.
